We are pleased to introduce two new veterinarians who will join Dr. Eleanor Kellon as Horse Journal Contributing Veterinary Editors. Both Dr. Eldredge and Dr. Miller are commited to the Horse Journal mission of providing strong, practical, hands-on solutions to the many problems we all experience in daily horse care.

Deb M. Eldredge, DVM

Dr. Eldredge is a semi-retired veterinarian in New York and an award-winning writer. She spent the first 15 years of her life earning money to buy a horse and never looked back. She was involved with 4-H and Pony Club, then moved on to polo at Cornell, where she earned her DVM degree. She has competed in Western and hunter/jumper, combined training and competitive trail rides. She currently lives with six equines. Three are senior horses: an Arabian, an Appaloosa and a Quarter Horse. The ?youngsters? are a mini horse and two donkeys.

Grant Miller, DVM

Dr. Miller is an equine veterinarian practicing in Northern California. A former Pony Clubber, he competed in dressage until he graduated from UC Davis as a veterinarian.

He's the attending veterinarian at the Circle Oak Equine Sports Rehabilitation facility in Petaluma, Calif., and a certified chiropractor, acupuncturist and dentist and enjoys regenerative medicine and diagnostic ultrasound.

He founded the Sonoma County CHANGE Program, which helps law enforcement officers with equine abuse, abandonment and relinquishment cases. CHANGE then finds homes for horses needing them. Miller has served as an expert witness in dozens of criminal horse abuse trials. He serves on the California Veterinary Medical Associations Board of Governors and volunteers teaching students at UC Davis, serving on the UC Davis Advisory Board, and working on the CVMA Agriculture and Animal Welfare Committees.
