AIM Equine Network and EQUUS Magazine Welcomes New Publisher

New Hire Joins EQUUS Team as Associate Publisher

July 30, 2015–Dawn Kirlin, the new associate publisher for EQUUS magazine, was formerly the advertising director at The Chronicle of the Horse. She has 10 years of experience as a manufacturer’s rep and account manager for domestic and international equestrian companies, and is also a licensed veterinary technician.

Prior to becoming a manufacturer’s rep, Dawn worked as a buyer for an equestrian retailer. Even earlier, she was a veterinary technician in a large and small animal vet practice for 6 years. Dawn has earned a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science-Pre Vet and an associate degree in Veterinary Technology.

Dawn’s favorite equestrian activities include eventing and foxhunting, as well as taking care of her farm with her 6-year-old daughter and husband. When not out on the farm, she and her family can be found out on the ocean or enjoying the beach together.

Joining AIM excited Dawn because she wanted to be part of a team that works to educate equestrians and future equestrians to be better horsemen. She was drawn to EQUUS specifically for the fit with her educational background and her interest in equine health. She also noted that AIM has a diverse portfolio that allows advertisers to broaden their reach in the industry.

“I enjoy being part of a collaborative team with the resources to make a difference in the industry,” she said.
