The U.S. reining team's selection trial for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games will be at the Battle in the Saddle July 5-10.

June 10, 2010 — Thirty-two reiners have qualified for the U.S. Equestrian Federation (USEF) selection trial for the Adequan U.S. Reining Team for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Lexington, Ky. The selection trial will be held in conjunction with the Battle in the Saddle July 5-10 at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds, Oklahoma City.

The U.S. team will work together to defend their team gold medal from the 2006 World Equestrian Games from increasing pressure from teams from Europe, South America, Australia, Canada and Mexico. The top 30 riders in the team competitions at the WEG advance to the individual medal round.

In addition to the official selection trial, the Battle in the Saddle will also offer the concurrent USEF Open Reining Championship and CRI4*. The Adequan/USEF Open Reining Championship is open to any rider on the USEF Reining Long List and the CRI4* (also concurrent) is available for any FEI High Performance competitor from around the globe.
