USEF Announces Additional Eventing Competition Grant Recipients for Fall Competitions

September 3, 2015 — The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) is pleased to announce the recipients of USEF Land Rover Competition Grants for The Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International CCI3* and the Galway Downs CCI3*. In addition, two previous grants have been reallocated for other competitions.

The following combination has received a grant for The Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International CCI3* taking place October 15-18 in Elkton, Md.:

Tamra Smith (Murrieta, Calif.) and Alexandra Ahearn, Ellen Ahearn, and Eric Markell’s Mai Baum, a 2006 German Sport Horse gelding

The following combinations have received grants for the Galway Downs CCI3* taking place October 28-November 1 in Temecula, Calif.:

Phillip Dutton (West Grove, Pa.) and Ann Jones, Bridget Colman, and Caroline Moran’s Mr. Candyman, a 2007 Holsteiner gelding

Lauren Kieffer (Middleburg, Va.) and Marie Le Menestrel’s Meadowbrook’s Scarlett, a 2007 Thoroughbred Cross mare

The following combination has had a previous grant reallocated for the Boekelo CCIO3* taking place October 8-11 in Boekelo, The Netherlands:

Matt Brown and the Blossom Creek Foundation’s Super Socks BCF, a 2006 Irish Sport Horse gelding*

*Brown’s request to use the Jacqueline B. Mars Competition Grant, through the USET Foundation, awarded to him for the Blenheim CCI3* to attend the Boekelo CCIO3* was approved.

The following combination has had a previous grant reallocated for Les Étoiles de Pau CCI4* taking place October 21-25 in Pau, France:

Jennie Brannigan (Kennett Square, Pa.) and Nina Gardner’s Cambalda, a 2002 Thoroughbred Cross gelding*

*Brannigan’s request to use the USEF Land Rover Competition Grant awarded to her for The Event at Rebecca Farm CCI3* to attend Les Étoiles de Pau CCI4* was approved. Her grant is supplementing The Dutta Corp. flight that she received as the winner of the 2014 The Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International CCI3*.
