June 11, 2011-- The Seminole Hard Rock Xtreme Bulls Tour presented by B&W Trailer Hitches returns to Reno on Thursday, June 16 to kick off the 92nd annual Reno Rodeo. The Reno tour stop is featured as part of the PRCA?s nationally-televised programming on Great American Country (GAC) ? and it offers an ?all-star lineup? of PRCA bull riders.

Forty of the world?s top bull riders will converge on the Reno Rodeo Outdoor Arena to take their shot at the prestigious Reno Xtreme Bulls title. The headliners scheduled to compete at Reno include 13 of the 15 bull riding qualifiers from the 2010 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, matched against the rankest PRCA bulls, many of which were selected for this past December?s Wrangler NFR.

Three-time and reigning World Champion J.W. Harris, of Mullin, Texas, is in the lineup along with 2007 World Champion Wesley Silcox of Santaquin, Utah, and fellow Wrangler NFR qualifiers Chad Denton, of Berry Creek, Calif. ; D.J. Domangue, of Houma, La.; Shawn Hogg, of Odessa, Texas; Corey Navarre, of Weatherford, Okla., and Clayton Williams, of Carthage, Texas. Also scheduled to compete is the PRCA?s current bull riding leader, Shane Proctor, of Grand Coulee, Wash.

The livestock stars of the Reno Xtreme Bulls event will include a number of rank PRCA bulls, including:

  • ?Hawaiian Ivory? ? Flying U/Rosser Rodeo Company bull; in 70 attempts he has been ridden 17 times with an average score of 90 points. In the 2009 Reno Xtreme Bulls event he was ridden by Steve Woolsey for 94 points and the win.
  • ?Juicy Vindication? ? Kish/Growney Rodeo Company; a 2010 WNFR bull with an 85 percent buck-off rate.
  • ?Touch of Class? ? another Kish/Growney Rodeo Company bull; he has been ridden by Wes Silcox at Santa Maria, Calif. for 93 points.

All 40 riders will compete in a long-go on June 16, beginning at 7 p.m. (PT), and the top 12 will be brought back for the finals, where the Reno Xtreme Bulls champion will be crowned based on the highest total score.

The payout for the Reno Xtreme Bulls event is $50,000. Monies won at Seminole Hard Rock Xtreme Bulls Tour stops count towards the 2011 PRCA World Standings, which determine qualifiers for the Dec. 1-10 Wrangler NFR.

Tickets for the Reno Xtreme Bulls event may be purchased by calling 1.800.225.2277 or by visiting the event?s web site, www.renorodeo.com.
