PRIMEDIA Equine Network Wins 27 AHP Awards

July 5, 2007 -- PRIMEDIA Equine Network's publications won 27 awards for material published in 2006 at the American Horse Publications (AHP) Awards Banquet in Albuquerque, N.M., on June 23.

EQUUS magazine won the AHP Overall Publication General Excellence Award.

EQUUS magazine took top honors, winning both the Overall Publication General Excellence award and General Excellence for Self-Supported Magazine (circulation over 15,000). This was EQUUS' 20th AHP General Excellence award. The magazine celebrates its 30th anniversary with its November 2007 issue.

"We are thrilled. There is nothing quite like being recognized by your peers," said Laurie Prinz, EQUUS editor and associate publisher. "We are committed to providing the best information for people that they can actually use. This is a wonderful recognition of our efforts."

Other first-place awards for PRIMEDIA's publications went to Dressage Today for Equine-Related Calendar, Arabian Horse World for Editorial Design (circulation 5,000 to 25,000), Practical Horseman for Personal Column (circulation over 15,000), Horse & Rider for Instructional Single Article and Personality Profile (circulation over 25,000) and EquiSearch.com for Equine-Related Electronic Newsletter.

PRIMEDIA Equine Network produces the websites EquiSearch.com and Equine.com and publishes EQUUS, Practical Horseman, Horse & Rider, Dressage Today, Arabian Horse World, Everything For Horse & Rider and Discover Horses at the Kentucky Horse Park magazines.
