Canada Crowns Repeat Champs

Cody Cassidy rode the super-horse Willy, who his brother Curtis and Luke Branquinho rode at the Wrangler NFR, to his second consecutive Canadian championship.

Two Canadians defended their Canadian Professional Rodeo Association titles last November. Cody Cassidy won his second steer wrestling title and Kyle Bowers won his third (second consecutive) bareback riding championship.

Wyoming native saddle bronc rider Chet Johnson was the only American to break onto the champion's podium. Kyle Thomson won the all-around and high point titles while Alwin Bouchard won the tie-down roping. Team ropers Travis Gallais and Kevin Schreiner took home the title, while Brett Thompson won the bull riding, and Gaylene Buff won the barrel racing.
