Training your eyes to focus on the jumps can help you arrive at the correct takeoff spot.
To judge a distance from an obstacle, your brain needs a reference point. To me, this is always the center of the top, front rail of the jump, which I've marked here with a glove. All photos © Michelle Dunn | Practical Horseman
