Photo Gallery: Laura Kraut’s Early Years (1978-1983)

(1981) Laura brought Polaris Smarty out as a Green Pony and was champion in both Green and Regular Large Pony Hunters numerous times. "Laura's year on Slipcover was when she really learned to be consistent but was always a bridesmaid (lots of seconds and reserve championships)," Anne remembers. "When she stepped onto Smarty, she knew she could be the winner of every class and had numerous shows where she would be the winner of five classes and thus be champion of two divisions. The rest is history."
