September 8, 1977 _ Town Drunk, driven by Vernon Crank, sets the world record for four-year-old pacing geldings by winning in 1:55.3 at Vernon, New York.

September 9, 1994 _ CR Kay Suzie, driven by Rod Allen, sets the world record for two-year-old fillies trotting on a five-eighths of a mile track by winning in 1:56.1 at Rosecroft Raceway in Fort Washington, Maryland.

September 9, 2000 _ Gallo Blue Chip, driven by Daniel Dube, sets the world record for three-year-olds pacing on a five-eighths of a mile track by winning in 1:50 at Scioto Downs near Columbus, Ohio.

September 10, 1980 _ Smokin Yankee, driven by Stanley Dancer, sets a world record for two-year-olds trotting on a five-eighths of a mile track by winning in 2:00.1 at Freestate Raceway in Laurel, Maryland.

September 11, 1982 _ Majestic Charger, an 11-year-old driven by Bill O’Donnell, sets the all-age world record for geldings pacing on a half-mile track by winning in 1:55.4 at Freehold Raceway in New Jersey.

September 11, 1999 _ Dave Palone wins 10 races at The Meadows, equaling Walter Case Jr.’s record for the most wins on a single card.

September 12, 1981 _ Stabilizer, driven by Ted Wing, sets the world record for two-year-old geldings pacing on a half-mile track by winning in 1:58.4 at Freehold Raceway in New Jersey.

September 14, 1997 _ Duo Val Car, driven by David Miller, sets the world record for horses five and older trotting on a half-mile track by winning in 1:56.2 at the Delaware County Fairgrounds in Ohio.

September 15, 1996 _ Jenna’s Beach Boy, driven by Bill Fahy, sets the all-age world record for pacing on a half-mile track by winning the Senior Jug in 1:49.3 at the Delaware County Fairgrounds in Ohio. The record is broken four days later by Stand Forever.
