When planning for winter, remember that horses are social animals. If you have a mare or a gelding that’s unable to go outdoors because of nasty winter weather, installing a horse-safe, shatterproof mirror in his stall may provide some welcome companionship. Many horses will interact with the reflection in the mirror as they would with a pasture mate. They will greet it, breath on it and stand next to it.
