Horses Needed for Bedford County Sheriff’s Patrol Unit

The Bedford County Sheriff's Department is looking for Tennessee Walking Horse Geldings for its newly formed equine mounted patrol unit.

April 14, 2010 -- The Bedford County Sheriff's Department in Lewisburg, TN is proud to announce that it has formed its own equine mounted patrol unit. The department is looking for Tennessee Walking Horse geldings that are 3-8 years old and stand 15-16 hands tall. It is preferred that these geldings be well broke and willing to learn.

The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders' & Exhibitors' Association, along with its members, will be assisting in locating these horses. If you would be interested in donating a gelding, please contact Chris Coffey at ccoffey@twhbea.com or call 931.359.0624. All accepted donations will be tax-deductible through the Tennessee Walking Horse Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
