Katherine Brunjes has been riding for over 40 years and competing in endurance for 10 years. In 2002, Kathleen and Ali Darkness won the Smokey Hill River Run Selection Trials in Salina, KS, and received the coveted Best Condition award.
Brunjes was also a member of the USA East Pan American Endurance Championship squad but considers her career "highlight" to be her sixth-place finish at the 2001 Old Dominion in West Virginia. She is a reference librarian.
