Hollywood Horses Monitored

The high-definition stock content of GreenScreen Animals, a Los Angeles-based digital-content company, is now being monitored by the American Humane Association. This oversight will enable producers and brand markets to have full confidence that their animal footage was obtained in a safe and sustainable way. The GSA provides an alternative to employing live animals, including horses, for commercial production.

“The animals benefit because they’re photographed in a protected, low-stress environment,” said Karen Rosa, vice president of the American Humane Association’s Film & Television Unit. The AHA is the only animal welfare organization in the world with on-set jurisdiction from the Screen Actors Guild to supervise the use of animals. The organization is also the only authority to issue the renowned “No Animals Were Harmed”® end-credit disclaimer.
