May 23, 2011 — This spring and summer, the University of Maryland Extension will offer pasture walks to provide an opportunity for horse farm owners to see how others manage pastures. Each pasture walk will feature a special presentation on a different pasture management topic, as well as teach participants a new skill. Topics covered include pasture planning, development, toxic plant identification, and fencing options. The pasture walks are led by UMD Extension Soil Conservation experts. Walks are free and take-home educational materials are provided.
