Winners Announced in Equine Network's "Medals for the Rest of Us" Contest

The Equine Network announces the winners in the "Medals for the Rest of Us" contest.

October 26, 2012–Hard-working everyday horsepeople deserve to be celebrated, and the Equine Network is pleased to do just that in announcing the winners of the “Medals for the Rest of Us” contest. In the quest for glory and great prizes, entrants submitted a photo and caption in one of three prestigious events: World-Class Mucking, sponsored by ZIMECTERIN? Gold; Heavyweight Stretching, sponsored by Purina Mills?; or Freestyle Trailer Parking, sponsored by USRider?.

Entrants displayed their stall-cleaning prowess in the World-Class Mucking event, sponsored by ZIMECTERIN? Gold. Christine S. Ferrell of Huntersville, NC, showed off her morning mucking attire to clinch the gold medal and win a $500 gift certificate from ZIMECTERIN? Gold. Silver medal winner Donna Daves of Flower Mound, TX, will receive a $250 gift certificate from ZIMECTERIN? Gold and bronze medalist Hannah McIntosh from Aberdeen, WA, will receive a $100 gift certificate from ZIMECTERIN? Gold.

In the Heavyweight Stretching event, sponsored by Purina Mills?, Erin Cohan of Castle Hayne, NC, earned the gold with a photo of her 35-year-old horse showing his flexibility after a bath. She wins one ton of Purina Mills? feed as her prize. Silver medal winner Kelly Briehler of Pennington, NJ, will receive a half ton of Purina Mills? feed and bronze medal winner Mary Adams of West Suffield, CT, will receive a quarter ton of Purina Mills? feed.

Kathy Estes of Salem, OR, came out on top of Freestyle Trailer Parking event, sponsored by USRider? with a photo of her three-horse gooseneck trailer parked in a challenging spot. Her gold medal prize is a three-year USRider? membership. Silver medal winner Julie Brosz-Turney of Tucson, AZ, wins a two-year USRider? membership and bronze medal winner Charles Morton of Albany, GA, wins a one-year USRider? membership.
