Federation (USEF) has updated the competition schedule for the 2012 Show Jumping European Young Rider Tour. Additionally, up to two individual Junior Riders will contest the same competitions on the Junior Rider Tour. The 2012 Show Jumping European Young Rider and Junior Rider Tour will consist of the following competitions: CSIOY and CSIOJ Bonheiden (BEL): May 17-20, 2012 CSIOY and CSIOJ Reims (FRA): May 31-June 3, 2012 CSIOY and CSIOJ Hagen (GER): June 13-17, 2012 The deadline for submitting an application for the 2012 Show Jumping European Young Rider and Junior Rider Tour is Monday, March 19, 2012. Weber Becomes Top Ranked FEI Four-in-Hand Driver

Weber (Ocala, Fla.) stands atop the FEI Top Driver Award Standings-Four-in-Hand with 71 points as well as the FEI World Cup Driving Qualification Standings with 81 points. The Individual Silver medalist from the 2012 FEI Four-in-Hand Driving World Championships began the year by claiming an unprecedented 11th USEF National Four-in-Hand Championship. Weber then traveled to Europe where he continued to take the driving world by storm earning wins at CAI3* Windsor and CAIO4* Saumur. In July, he headed to Aachen, Germany for the prestigious CHIO Aachen, where he claimed the biggest victory of his career in CAIO4* competition. Elite competition will April 11, 2012 -- The 2012 USEF Paralympic Selection Trials and National Championship will take place June 11-13, 2012 at the USET Foundation Headquarters in Gladstone, N.J. Elite competition will be held in Grades 1a- IV, as para-equestrian athletes vie to represent the United States at the 2012 Paralympic Games and earn National Championship honors. Competitors will ride three different tests (Team, Individual and Freestyle) within their grade. This championship will take place between the two weekends of the USEF Dressage Festival of Champions. The U.S. Para-Equestrian Team is enjoying a banner year in 2012 having earned qualification for the 2012 Paralympic Games in January. The competition will run July 31-August 3 in Hickstead, West Sussex, United Kingdom. The following combinations have been chosen to represent the U.S. at the Hickstead CDIO3* (in alphabetical order): Katherine Bateson-Chandler (Wellington, Fla.) and Jane Clark's Wellnetta Wellnetta is a 2003 Dutch Warmblood mare. USEF Announces 2010 My Favorite USEF Breed Competition Contest

Eleven competitions will be recognized (one per breed category), receiving a plaque as well as a mention in the USEF's Week in Review e-newsletter. From these competitions, two will be selected from a random drawing to win the Grand and Reserve prizes. The Grand Prize winner will receive a pizza party for their exhibitors at the 2011 competition; the Reserve winner will receive an ice cream party for the exhibitors at the 2011 competition. In order to be eligible to claim their prize, the competitions must remain USEF-licensed for 2011. All USEF members in good standing who have participated in a USEF-licensed breed competition are encouraged to vote and share their feedback with the USEF. U.S. Show Jumping Chef d'Equipe George Morris to Undergo Treatment for Cancer

has asked Robert Ridland (who was recently named the Morris' successor beginning in 2013: http://www.usefnetwork.com/news/8096/2012/2/21/robert_ridland_approved_for_us_sh.aspx) to attend the Observation Events and monitor the technical aspects of those competitions and report to Morris. Morris is expected to be fit and able to return to the horse show circuit by early summer and is expected to be able to travel in time to prepare the team in Europe for the Olympic Games and attend that Championship. The USEF and the entire horse show community wishes Morris a full recovery.
