Bitterroot Valley in Montana

Bear Creek Lodge is a high-end destination lodge in western Montana's Bitterroot Valley. Sitting on 155 acres, the lodge borders national forest and the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness, the largest wilderness south of the Canadian border.

Horse facilities (free to guests) include a four-acre pasture, three pens, and three stalls. A private trail system connects to United States Forest Service trails. From the lodge, you'll have direct access to three mountain drainages providing full-day rides: Bear Creek, Gash Creek, and Sweathouse Creek.

After your ride, a gourmet meal awaits, including hors d'oeuvres and an open bar. The luxury lodge offers full accommodations; rates include all meals and beverages. Each of the eight guest rooms has a private bath and an outdoor entrance. For more information, call (406) 642-3750, or visit www.bear-creek- lodge.com. (For a trail map, click on "Hiking.")
