Although Pat Parelli is commonly known as the founder of Parelli Natural Horsemanship, the beginning of his career with horses includes 14 years as a bareback bronc rider on the rodeo circuit. In celebration of his cowboy past, Parelli will present Natural Horsemanship the Cowboy Way—a series of demonstrations in Las Vegas, Nev., during the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.

The demos will focus on the techniques that horsemen, from cowboys to recreational riders, can use to cultivate better relationships with their horses and how to leverage those relationships for long-term success. Parelli will also cover how simulators can be used to develop or enhance cow-working skills for those who do not have regular access to cattle, or those who want to enhance their daily horse training routine.

The demos are free to the public, but attendees are encouraged to make a donation of any amount to benefit the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund. The JCCF partners with the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association to help rodeo athletes and their families who have been affected by catastrophic injuries. All contributions received for are donated directly to eligible injured applicants.

Natural Horsemanship the Cowboy Way will take place December 1-2, at the South Point Hotel & Casino. In addition to the three demonstrations, Parelli Natural Horsemanship will have a booth at the 64th Annual PRCA National Convention Trade Show in the South Point Exhibit Hall.
