Buck Brannaman is often associated with the hit novel and film, “The Horse Whisperer,” but a documentary released at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival reveals the true life of the legendary trainer and clinician. “BUCK” was received with open arms by viewers at the festival and awarded the U.S. Documentary Competition Audience Award.

“BUCK,” directed by Cindy Meehl, follows Brannaman from a painful childhood to his inspiring work as a trainer. He uses hard-won wisdom to dramatically transform horses—and people—with his understanding, compassion and respect. “Often instead of helping people with horse problems, I’m helping horses with people problems,” says the cowboy.
