A new program called VITALS™, introduced by the Kentucky Horse Council, will help you communicate basic health indicators to your veterinarian when you suspect illness, injury, or disease.
The KHC Health and Welfare Committee developed VITALS under the direction of T.D. Byars, DVM, of Byars Equine Advisory. The VITALS kit consists of a stethoscope, digital thermometer, laminated instructional poster, an eight-page information booklet, recommended first-aid items, and a storage bag.
