Water Crossing Advice

While your horse is going forward, ease off and ride him normally.

Note: When you ride with other horses for security, it's best to ask your horse to cross the creek first. Then you establish in your horse's mind that he didn't necessarily need help to cross, which builds his confidence. On the other hand, he may need that added security, especially at first-it all depends on the situation.
