U.S. Dressage Team Finishes Seventh at CDIO5* Hagen

Under the guidance of Chef d’Equipe Christine Traurig, the U.S. team placed seventh against a competitive field to finish with a score of 210.000%.

July 9, 2015–On Thursday the Grand Prix Nations Cup presented by Almased Wellness GmbH took place at CDIO5* Hagen. Under the guidance of Chef d’Equipe Christine Traurig, the U.S. team placed seventh against a competitive field to finish with a score of 210.000%.

Charlotte Jorst (Reno, Nev.) and Kastel’s Nintendo, Kastel Denmark’s 12-year-old KWPN stallion, led the U.S. effort with a score of 70.840% in the Grand Prix. Arlene Page (Wellington, Fla.) and her 12-year-old KWPN gelding, Woodstock, received a 69.700% from the judges. Not far behind were Shelly Francis (Loxahatchee, Fla.) and Doktor, Patricia Stempel’s 12-year-old Oldenburg gelding, with a score of 69.460%. Rounding out the U.S. effort were Kathleen Raine and Breanna, Jennifer Mason, David Wightman, and her own 15-year-old Hanoverian mare, scoring 66.320%.

In addition to the team’s performance, Jorst and Kastel’s Adventure, Kastel Denmark’s 10-year-old KWPN gelding, were eighth in the CDI1* Prix St. Georges with a score of 69.500%.
