Dressage Today Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Devon Party, Sweepstakes

The staff of Dressage Today will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Equine Network’s popular magazine by hosting a wine and cheese party at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26 at Dressage at Devon (DAD) in Devon, Pennsylvania. The magazine will also be launching its “World Cup Sweepstakes” at this year’s week-long event and hosting the annual DAD box-holders dinner on Saturday evening, Sept. 27.

The DT staff then plans to celebrate the magazine’s milestone again at Saturday evening’s event at 5:30 p.m. Both events will be held at the Dressage Today and HorseTech tent, found just outside the warm-up rings at Devon.

The World Cup sweepstakes to be launched at the party is brought to you by Dressage Today, Adequan (http://www.adequan.com/), Bates Saddles (http://www.batessaddles.com/) and HorseTech (http://www.horsetech.com/).

“We’re very excited to not only celebrate our 20th anniversary at Dressage at Devon, but also to kick off our newest sweepstakes,” says Dressage Today editor Jennifer Mellace. “In anticipation of the Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage Finals’ return to Las Vegas in April 2015, DT is offering an exciting new sweepstakes that will present one winner with a trip for two to the event, which includes round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations, tickets to the dressage event and an opportunity to spend an afternoon with 2003 FEI World Cup™ Champion Debbie McDonald during the event. We will have computers available at the booth we share with HorseTech—the white tent just outside the warm-up ring—throughout the week so folks can sign up for the sweepstakes. We encourage everyone to stop by, especially on Tuesday and Friday evenings when DT and HorseTech host our annual wine and cheese parties.”

Riders and spectators are welcome to swing by the Dressage Today and HorseTech tent to pick up their free copy of the magazine and to learn more about HorseTech’s many horse and dog supplements. And be sure to grab a copy of Dressage Today’s October issue, which features a bonus section in which you can learn more about Reem Acra, haute couture designer and sponsor of the World Cup, and Debbie McDonald, who won the 2003 World Cup Finals aboard the legendary mare Brentina.

In September, DAD brings top competitors, horses, trainers and judges from across the continent and around the globe together for one of the highest-rated international dressage competitions and the most complete breed show outside of Europe. This year’s event will be held September 23rd through September 28th at the Devon Horse Show grounds in Devon, Pennsylvania.

It’s a fitting location for Dressage Today’s 20th anniversary, as in addition to training, readers get articles on the latest innovations in the care and feeding of dressage horses, rider fitness, news of the dressage world and profiles of top horses and riders.
