After Sharon Rader was named Equine.com’s grand prize winner of our 15thanniversary sweepstakes, we chatted with her a little bit about her exciting win of a brand new Exiss Horse Trailer
Equine.com: Sharon, Congratulations on your win! I’m sure you were excited to hear the news.
Sharon Rader: I was so excited to win the horse trailer. Never thought I would in a million years!!!
EC:So How many time did you enter?
SR: I only entered the sweepstakes one time and never imagined, in my wildest dreams I would win any of the smaller prizes, let alone the GRAND PRIZE!!!!
EC: How many and what type of horses do you have?
SR: My husband Don and I own a small horse farm in Navarre, Ohio. We train, breed and show Arabian and Half-Arabian horses. Of the 12 horses we own, my Stallion WRR ICY HOT, who is a FIRE AN ICE son is closest to my heart.
EC: How long have you had horses?How long have you been involved in horses?
SR: I have had a horse since I was 7 years old, and lets just say I am 60 something now!!!! WRR ICY HOT will be 17 years old this Spring and was born literally in my lap.
EC:Do you compete/trail ride/etc? If so what events?
SR: Together WRR ICY HOT and I have earned many Championships in Western Pleasure – Amateur Division, and my husband, Don has shown him to many Championship in the Open Division.
EC:Who was the first person you called/texted/emailed when you won?
SR: The first person I called when I received the news as the winner (after screaming to my husband that I won) was my Mother, who is 89 years old. She was as excited as I was. I have been so excited and can’t wait to get the trailer home. Thank you so very much,
