Equithrive® Awards Joint-Winners of 'Fist Pump' Competition at Bourbon International CSI3*

Enthusiastic Performances Deems Competition as Tie at Split Rock Jumping Tour

October 11, 2016–Equithrive®, the pioneer in equine Resveratrol therapy and official sponsor of The Fist Pump Contest at last weekend’s Bourbon International CSI3*, awarded a $500.00 check to joint-winners Ilan Bluman and Bryan Dietz, as both riders demonstrated the most enthusiastic ‘fist pump’ and expression for their extraordinary accomplishments at the show. The Bourbon International CSI3* is part of the Split Rock Jumping Tour and the riders received their awards at the conclusion of the $130,000 CSI 3* Grand Prix presented by Split Rock Farm, on Sunday, October 9.

“It was a really fun competition as it was a great way for riders to be able to showcase their enthusiasm about their performances and get the crowd into it,” said Dr. Patrick Lawless, founder and CEO of Equithrive®. “Both riders exhibited a great ‘fist pump’ following their successful show jumping rounds and since it was too difficult to choose, we decided to award both of them!”

Colombian rider Bluman and his mount Ladriano Z beat 32 competitors to claim victory in the climactic $130,000 CSI 3* Grand Prix presented by Split Rock Farm, after having also won the $40,000 Amalaya Investments CSI 3* Grand Prix just two days earlier.

Dietz, a U.S. rider, earned several top-ten placings at the event, including second place in the $7,500 Low Junior/Amateur-Owner 1.20m Jumper Final aboard Poppin’ Tags, the horse with whom she also took fifth place in the $2,000 Low Junior/Amateur-Owner 1.20m Jumper. She placed fifth in the $7,500 Child/Adult 1.10m Jumper Final and eighth in the $2,000 Child/Adult 1.10m Jumper, both with her other mount Top Flight.

About Equithrive®
Equithrive® is the pioneer in equine resveratrol therapy. Equithrive® has developed a proprietary resveratrol product (Resverasyn®) that recently has been proven in multiple university studies to reduce lameness, inflammation and oxidative stress in performance horses. Excessive inflammation plays a major role in arthritis and in Equine Metabolic Syndrome (EMS). The company developed Equithrive® Joint to support healthy joint function in horses during aging, training and competition. Metabarol™ contains a higher dose of Resverasyn® and has been demonstrated to reduce insulin levels in EMS horses that are prone to foundering.

Veterinarians across the United States now routinely prescribe Equithrive® Joint and Metabarol™ to support joint health and metabolic function in equine athletes and in older horses. Equithrive® is the global leader in Resveratrol therapy for horses.
