USEF Names 2011 Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team For The Pan American Games

The USEF has named the 2011 US Eventing Team for the Pan American Games which will take place in Guadalajara, Mexico on October 14-30, 2011. The USEF has named five horse and rider combinations to the US Eventing Team for the Pan American Games. Hannah Sue Burnett and Jacqueline Mars' Harbour Pilot is one of the pairs that was named by the USEF to the US Eventing Team for the Pan American Games.

August 30, 2011 – The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) has named 2011 Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team for the Pan American Games. The Pan American Games will take place in Guadalajara, Mexico, October 14-30, 2011. The USEF has named five horse and rider combinations? to the US Eventing Team,? as well as five replacement teams.

Held at the CCI2*, five horses will compete for both team and individual classification, with the best three scores to count for the team score.

The following horse/rider combinations have been named by the USEF to the 2011 Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team for the Pan American Games (in alphabetical order):

Hannah Sue Burnett (The Plains, VA) and Jacqueline Mars’ Harbour Pilot. Harbour Pilot is an 8-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding.

Buck Davidson (Ocala, FL) and Sharon Will’s Absolute Liberty.? Absolute Liberty is an 8-year-old Thoroughbred x Oldenburg mare.

Jonathan Holling (Ocala, FL) and Constance Holling’s Downtown Harrison. Downtown Harrison is a 7-year-old Trakehner x Thoroughbred gelding.

Shannon Lilley (Gilroy, CA) and The Lilley Group’s Ballingowan Pizzaz. Ballingowan Pizzaz is a 9-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding.

Michael Pollard (Dalton, GA) and Nathalie Pollard’s Schoensgreen Hanni. Schoensgreen Hanni is an 8-year-old German Sport Horse mare.

The following horse/rider combinations have been named as replacements (in alphabetical order):

Boyd Martin (Cochranville, PA) and Dana Diemer’s Cold Harbor. Cold Harbor is an 11-year-old Canadian Sport Horse.

Kristin Schmolze (Califon, NJ) and her own, Bill and Janet Schmolze’s Ballylaffin Bracken. Ballylaffin Bracken is an 11-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding.

Tamra Smith (Murietta, CA) and Leigh Mesher’s Mar de Amor.? Mar de Amor is an 11-year-old Selle Francais gelding.

Lynn Symansky (Middleburg, VA) and her own Donner. Donner is an 8-year-old Thoroughbred gelding.

Jolie Wentworth (Martinez, CA) and Tracey Bowman’s Good Knight. Good Knight is a 9-year-old Canadian Sport Horse.

These riders will have mandatory training at the Morven Park Horse Trials, September 30- October 2 in Leesburg, VA. They will then go to training camp with Chef d’Equipe Capt. Mark Phillips beginning October 10 at Meredyth South in Ocala, FL. Training camp will last five days and then the horses will travel to Mexico.
