The panel should touch the horse's back evenly all the way from front to back. Some panels may be off the back end to allow the back to come up during engagement.

To achieve the proper saddle fit, your saddle should have full panel contact. Full panel contact is important for your horse’s comfort: loose contact will result is uneven weight distribution from the rider.
